eccenca 1.1 is based now on SMILA r544

  • The necessary changes on SMILA r544 for eccenca 1.1 can be found at http://download.eccenca.com/patches-modifications/

    SMILA r544 has the following new "features" besides a lot of bug fixes
    - agent API and agent examples
    - record package/bundle processing
    - osgi jmx command line support
  • native (Lucene) Query  Interface: Beside the existing Query mechanism eccenca CE 1.1 contains a new API for sending native queries to the underlying index technologie (in this case lucene)

  • eccenca 1.1 was build with JDK 1.6 and is based on eclipse 3.4.2
eccenca CE 1.0 is the first major release which presents a number of new features and enhancements in comparison to the 1.0 beta. These differences are marked with a "NEW" label in the feature list.

sorry if I have not been blogging much in the past few weeks.
Last weeks release of eccenca 1.0 though is more than enough reason to share a few thoughts with you.
Currently we are having a lot of discussion about licensing models and adoption. I am quite sure that many of you have very qualified opinions on this matter as well. So do not hesitate to share your thoughts with us!
